I installed the March 28 update and proceeded to Netfile. With Internet disconnected, Turbotax warned "TurboTax has detected that you do not have Internet access. If you decide to continue, you may encounter unexpected errors and data loss. Do you want to continue?" I clicked "Yes" and it generated the .TAX file anyway. When I edited the .TAX file, it shows a tag of SoftwareRevisionDate of 2013-03-29. Kind of strange ?
I then put the scr.filing.turbotaxonline.ca in the windows hosts file and tried Netfile with the Internet connected. Some message flashed on the screen (didn't capture what it said) and the .TAX file was generated. Now this file has a SoftwareRevisonDate of 2013-03-28. Contents of the two files are otherwise identical.
Does anyone has an explanation ? O/S is Win7 64-bit.
